- After shampooing, generously apply the Purple Toning Masque evenly through wet hair and comb through. Leave on 1-3 minutes, rinse well. Wash hands immediately. Use weekly or as needed until desired toning results are achieved. CAUTION: This product contains ingredients, which may cause skin irritation on certain individuals and a preliminary test according to accompanying directions should first be made. This product must not be used for dyeing the eyelashes or eyebrows; to do so may cause blindness. Do not apply to a sensitive, irritated or damaged scalp. Discontinue use if rash or irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children. For external use on scalp hair only. Avoid contact with fabrics & household surfaces to prevent staining. If contact occurs, clean immediately. TO PERFORM A PATCH TEST: 48 hours prior to use, clean a small area of skin behind the ear or on the inner surface of the forearm with soap and water or alcohol, apply a small quantity of the product to the area and allow to dry. After 24 hours, wash the area with soap and water. If the area has no irritation or inflammation, sensitivity to the product is unlikely.
