- Remove seal. Push pen needle on device until tight. Do not push pen needle at an angle. Remove cap. Do not discard. Remove inner protective cap by pulling it straight out. Prime pen injector device. Set drug dose. Make injection as directed. Inject slowly. Do not remove needle immediately after injection. Do not change the direction of pen needle while it remains in the body. Replace cap. Remove pen needle from pen injector device after each injection.
