This book is a patchwork of short stories of a mother of six children in Greece. The short stories tell about the strange things they had to deal with in daily life, they were always the strangers. How Greek people live and how family life is, the way they live their life. The book contains coloured drawings of the author herself, Annemarie Oldenhof, who wrote the stories in notebooks, and made a collection, like a patchwork of those hilarious and funny stories completed with the drawings as if this were the photograps in time. In the end, she did not feel a 'stranger ' anymore, they fit in the Greek society and were very thankfull for those lessons.
