Pedagogy deals with the theory and practice of learning. It studies the learning processes and how they influence and are influenced by the psychological, social and political development of the learners. It aims to study how skills and knowledge are imparted in an educational context. It is often defined as the act of teaching. The field is also influenced by various cultural and social contexts in which the teaching takes place. It influences the judgements, actions and teaching strategies undertaken by the teachers to understand the needs and background of their students. The field majorly undertakes three approaches.
