Lt. Judy Crausbay, a dedicated Flight Nurse served with the 137th Oklahoma Aeromedical Squadron in the mid 60's . Judy distinguished herself in saving the life of a patient that was suffering from a cerebral blood clot. This was her first duty with the Oklahoma Air Guard Flight when another C-141 encountered a rapid decompression at 35,000 feet over Wake Island. Judy and her team were passengers on an empty C-141 when the mission of their C-141 changed to "transport a soldier with cerebral bends to a Navy decompression chamber in Hawaii." As an officer of our Squadron, Judy made the Oklahoma Air Guard proud. We lost a fine Flight Nurse when she transferred from the Air Force to the Army Nurse Corps, to serve in Vietnam. This book is a must read, of the emotions of those that served in the Army and the Air Force and of those we left behind, in 1975, when America lost in the game of dominos and bailed out of Vietnam.Major General Stanley F. Newman, USAF (Retired)
