According to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, CSIS was never informed of the threat made against Michael Chong by a Chinese ambassador stationed at the Toronto embassy. The dossier has been provided, according to Trudeau's own national security advisor, Chong told the House of Commons.The national security advisor recently notified him, "Mr. Speaker, that the CSIS intelligence assessment of July 20, 2021, was sent by CSIS to the relevant departments to the national security advisor in the PCO (Privy Council Office)," Chong added.
