When Gage Madden is falsely accused of sexual harassment by his superior officer, Inspector Susan Todd, his Chief Inspector sends him to New York. Until things blow over, he'll be assigned to work with the NYPD in stopping illegal arms sales to Australian biker gangs. In New York, Gage teams up with a beautiful but feisty detective, Kimberly Biche. The two rub each other the wrong way from the beginning, complicating an already fraught operation. After determining that Russian arms dealer Vitali Popov is supplying weapons to Australia, the reluctant detectives go undercover to meet and arrange the purchase of arms. There's one glitch, however: Popov wants to ensure that Kimberly and Gage are who they say they are and sends the two to Sydney to assassinate his arch-enemy Andrey Barinov under the watchful eye of Popov's man, Dimitri Sokolov. While working on the arms case, Kimberly soon discovers that Dimitri is involved in one of her other unsolved cases, the murder of a young prostitute in New York. Although initially antagonists, it isn't long before romance blooms between Kimberly and Gage, creating another dilemma: once the case is solved, and if they survive, can they return to their lives on opposite sides of the planet?
