He spent 20 years as an Air Force chaplain, served as a Presbyterian minister, and has published a number of articles in religious education journals. Rev. Dr. Sobin is a member of the Society of Biblical Literature, the American Academy of Religion, and the International Bonhoeffer Society. He lives near San Antonio in Helotes, Texas and is currently working on a novel.
