Secularism is ever stronger and more alluring, leading both youth and adults to drift into false identities influenced by worldly trends, violent video games, glorified immorality, and the virtual world of social media. False identities can result in confusion, anxiety, and depression, and even lead to self-harm and suicide. Body image disorders, addictions, and faith crises are some of the manifestations of this growing problem. As children of God, we need to know clearly who we are and of our divine purpose. If we don't know or accept our divine identity, we are more vulnerable to the confusing and destructive messages of the adversary. President Nelson and other Church leaders repeatedly point to understanding divine identity as a powerful solution to these problems. The time for this more comprehensive, doctrinally-based review of divine identity is now.
