With the dire consequences of global warming and the exhaustion of non-renewable resources like coal and petroleum looming over us, countries have already begun the transition to zero-emission vehicles. The exponential growth of the global electric vehicle market over the last five years proves this, with nations vying to become industry pioneers of the next automotive revolution by incentivizing local manufacturers. This in turn has made the electric vehicle industry extremely competitive and virtually impossible for new startups to penetrate the market as the R&D involved in the development of electric vehicles is extremely expensive, making it impossible to keep up with the industry leaders. The chassis of an EV contributes to a significant portion of the in-house development and its R&D. This project aims to design and analyze a standard chassis platform that will enable medium scale companies to adapt the chassis frame and break into the EV market by developing various vehicular configurations using a standard platform.
