It is remarkable, that no catalogue in the present form has ever appeared in this country, notwithstanding the numerous discoveries which have been In various parts of the three kingdoms during the last two centuries. Scarcely a year passes, in which the ploughshare or the spade does not bring to light numerous relics of that gigantic empire of which this island once formed a part; and among these relics, the coins are the most conspicuous.
