My book is a lot of different poems I have written. I was born in east Los Angeles on August 7, 1954. My parents were Mary Ann and Justin Prudeaux. I was the third youngest of 6 kids. My parents divorced when I was 3 years old, after my youngest sister was born. My mother moved us to Massachusetts after the earthquake hit in the San Fernando Valley, where we lived in 1971. I lived there til I married. I had 4 sons, 2 before we married, and 2 with my husband. I had an abusive husband (he would move us from state to state) and in 1993, I left him, soon after I divorced him. I bought my own home, where I raised my sons. I worked 3 jobs to keep food, electric and our house payments. I kept our home for 9 years. I got sick and I lost my home, then I moved back to Massachusetts from Tucson. I've been writing since I was 9 years old. I had the best schooling. I went to Catholic school for my whole life. I've been to 2 colleges. I've since retired from illness. I have diabetes very bad with neuropathy in my feet and hands. I reside with my son and his young son. I have 13 grandchildren from my 3 oldest sons, my baby has none. I write just about everyday and its the love of my life. I thank God for giving me that talent.
