Have you ever considered, even briefly, the possibility of adopting a child? Maybe you decided to forget about it before you got too far. There are so many reasons not to. Good, genuine, honest reasons. Rob and Sharon also had a long list of reasons not to go through with it. After all, they already had a large blended family. They didn’t need more kids. They were too old. Their colleagues were already making plans for early retirement. Besides, they didn’t have the spare money, and they certainly didn’t have enough rooms in their home. But what do you do when God reveals a plan—a plan that requires you to do something absolutely crazy? Like adopting first three kids, and then eight more? And what if the crazy doesn’t stop there? What if COVID restrictions ramp up in the middle of your journey? What if some of the kids who were declared healthy actually aren’t? Is God still God, even then?
