Whether you're looking for more bite or more glide, we offer a range of blade hollows to help you optimize your on-ice performance. Only use PROSHARP BAUER ADVANTEDGE Grinding Wheels with the PROSHARP BAUER ADVANTEDGE Skate Sharpener. Use of any other grinding wheels may damage the machine and void warranty.
- There are two types of wheels you will use when sharpening your skates: Hollow Grinding Wheels and FLAT Grinding Wheels.
- Hollow Grinding Wheels are used to sharpen your steel to your favorite radius of hollow. If you’re unsure which hollow to start with, we recommend using a ¾” wheel as a baseline. From there, you can trial different wheels to find which hollow suits your style of play best.
- FLAT Grinding Wheels are designed to “reset” your blade. This process is important when prepping new steel or refreshing your blade if you damage your edges.
- On average, a grinding wheel will sharpen about 75 pairs of skates. Your PROSHARAUER ADVANTAGE Skate Sharpener will notify you when it's time to replace your grinding wheel.
