Position Summary:

 

The leadership team is responsible for the overall operation of the store.  They recruit, train, and develop a team that consistently provides superior customer service and maximized sales results. They also ensure that all store support activities such as stock processing, markdowns, transfers, scheduling/payroll and merchandising are completed properly and in a timely manner.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for overall store operations with focus on sales, staffing and operational management.
  • Lead and inspire store employees to outperform budgets and guest experiences through your own actions and adherence to regulations.
  • Ongoing recruitment, selection and training of store team.
  • Continually motivate, coach and encourage all employees through the use of positive and construction on-the-floor feedback.
  • Organize ever-changing clean and organized visual merchandising throughout store.
  • Perform staff performance management for probationary reviews, yearly performance reviews and progressive disciplinary actions including terminations.
  • Manage staffing budget through proper schedule creation and payroll based on BTB guidelines.
  • Reconciliation of cash, sales receipts, daily paperwork and other administration duties.
  • Uphold safety standards and document all accidents/relevant events to Regional Manager and WCB.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum one year of retail management experience or equivalent management experience.
  • Strong communication skills: verbal and written.
  • Excellent attention to detail plus strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 50lbs, use ladders and stand for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office, security camera system and Retail POS systems.
